Privacy Policy — StretchBreak

StretchBreak is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any information that directly identifies you as a person.

Data We Collect

✓ Most of your data never leaves your device. It is stored locally and is never sent to us or any third party.

Stored on Your Device Only

The following is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework and is never transmitted:

Your onboarding responses (goals, experience level, focus areas, health conditions, gender, age range)
Session history, streaks, and progress stats
Custom routines you create

Device Identifier

We generate an anonymous device identifier using Apple's identifierForVendor (IDFV). This identifier is sent to our backend solely to route push notifications to your device. It is not linked to any personal information.

Push Notification Token

If you grant notification permission, your device's APNs token is sent to our backend to deliver stretch reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

Usage Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. This includes:

Which routines and exercises are opened, completed, or skipped
Session duration
Subscription events (product ID, price, currency, transaction ID)
Whether notifications were granted during onboarding

This data is associated with an anonymous Firebase installation ID, not your personal identity.

Third-Party Services

We do not use any advertising networks or data brokers. The following third-party services are used:

Subscriptions

Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We never see or store your payment card details. We receive only the transaction result (success or failure) and the product identifier.

Data Retention

On-device data — stays on your device until you delete the app.
Firebase Analytics data — retained per Google's standard settings (up to 14 months).
Push notification tokens — removed from our backend when they become invalid (e.g. after app deletion).

Children's Privacy

StretchBreak is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, we cannot identify you in our systems. To erase all data associated with your use of the app:

On-device data — delete the app from your device.
Analytics data — contact us and we will request deletion from Firebase on your behalf.
Push token — automatically invalidated when you delete the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
